LEBANON, Mo. (Aug. 29-30) — Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo., led all 40 laps at I-44 Speedway to capture the sixth annual Larry Phillips Memorial, winning the race that honors his father for the second straight time. Phillips earned $7,500 for the event co-sanctioned by the O'Reilly MARS DIRTcar Series and Allstate Dirt LateModel Racing Association. | Slideshow

"Dad won a lot of races here, and this really means a lot to me because of the race in his name," Phillips said. "Tonight he was riding with me as this GRT by Phillips car was perfect."

Phillips built comfortable leads throughout the race but had to survive the last of three restarts on lap 37 following Jack Sullivan's departure. Jesse Stovall of Galena, Mo., and Wendell Wallace of Batesville, Ark., took their last best shots at Phillips, but they settled for second and third. Polesitter Jeremy Payne, a teammate to Phillips, was fourth and Bill Frye of Greenbrier, Ark., rounded out the top five. The first caution appeared on lap three for Tony Jackson Jr. and the second caution appeared on lap 35 for Brad Looney, who lost a top-five position because of a flat tire.
