MARKLEYSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 28) — Making the most of a weekend off from his national touring duties, Rick Eckert of York, Pa., completed a sweep of Roaring Knob Motorsport Complex’s Big Kahuna weekend with a $5,000 victory in Saturday’s Three State Flyers season finale. | Slideshow

Eckert, who claimed a $2,000 victory in Friday’s unsanctioned weekend opener, advanced from his seventh starting spot to overtake outside polesitter Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, Pa., on a lap-41 restart. He led the remainder of the 60-lap race to earn the first Three State Flyers victory of his career.

Davey Johnson of Latrobe, Pa., charged from a mid-pack starting spot to finish third while Dan Stone of Thompson, Pa., slid back one spot from where he started to finish fourth. Kyle Hardy of Winchester, Va., was fifth.

Mark Pettyjohn of Milton, Del., wrapped up his first series title with a 16th-place finish.
