RURAL RETREAT, Va. (Sept. 17) – Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C., scored his second consecutive Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory Saturday when the tour visited Wythe Raceway for a $4,000-to-win event. The veteran Cook topped runner-up finisher Kennie Compton of Bland, Va., for the victory. Defending series champion Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, S.C., was third, followed by Jeff Smith of Gastonia, N.C., and Ray Tucker of Greensboro, N.C.
