HURON, S.D. (May 11) — Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., tracked down race-long leader Chad Becker of Aberdeen, S.D., in the closing laps Saturday at Dakota State Fair Speedway, making the winning pass for a $4,000 victory on WISSOTA's Blaine Brothers Challenge Series. | Slideshow

Wildung, who broke leading the previous night’s race in Huron, rallied from his 10th starting spot for the 40-lap victory while Becker, who started outside the front row, settled for second. Pole-starting Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., was third followed by Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., and Kyle Peterlin of Hibbing, Minn.

Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., who won Friday’s season opener for the WISSOTA tour, started 20th and finished 14th on Saturday in a caution-free feature on a cold night.

Becker jumped to the lead over Matthees at the outset while Wildung worked his way into the top five after just 10 laps. At the halfway mark, Becker led Matthees, Seng and Wildung in a tight pack.

The higher-running Wildung took third from Seng, then took the second spot from Matthees on lap 28. While Becker faced lapped traffic, Wildung closed the gap in the closing laps, then moved to the low groove to overtake Becker late.
