Kniss, of Oakley, Calif., led all 25 laps from the pole for his first career Xtreme Late Model Series victory in its season opener. ... Kniss earned $1,057 in the Danny Oliver Memorial, which paid tribute to the father of third-place finisher Rod Oliver. ... It's his third overall victory, adding to Limited Late Model wins at Antioch (Calif.) Speedway in each of the last two years. ... Fourth-starting Matt Micheli trailed Kniss the final 10 laps, finishing 0.515 of a second back. ... Bobby Hogge IV scratched after hot laps. ... A dozen of 15 entrants started the feature.
