What won the race: Polesitter Jesse Glenz of Chippewa Falls, Wis., led all 40 laps of the unsanctioned Super Late Model feature at Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday, winning $5,000.
Key notes: A winner at Cedar Lake earlier this season, Darrell Nelson of Hermantown, Minn., claimed the runner-up position, 0.751 seconds behind Glenz. ... Rick Hanestad of Boyceville, Wis., advanced eight positions and finished third. ... Hometown driver, Pat Doar cut Glenz's lead to three tenths of a second near the race's halfway mark, before fading in the closing laps and finishing fourth. ... Saturday's feature was delayed by a 20-minute red flag on the first lap, an incident involving Jimmy Mars, Sam Mars, Greg Nippoldt, Lance Matthees, Jake Redetzke and Jake Miller. All drivers were unable to continue and finished 19th through 24th, respectively. ... The remainder of the race was slowed by only two other incidents and lasted 22 minutes, with 14 competitors completing all 40 laps. ... Cedar Lake hosts the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series for the 34th annual USA Nationals Aug. 5-7.
