In Dirt Late Model racing, when you have conversations from one regional series director to the next, you learn to expect the expected. There typically aren't dramatic differences in the way regional tours handle formats, rules or purses.

And then you talk to Ed Kosiski, who manages the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series. Here's an excerpt of our phone conversation when I was previewing the series:

Everybody's just a number

When people deal with bureaucracy, a common complaint is that everyone's just a number. And when dirt racers talk about other dirt racers, that's frequently the case, too.
