SITKA, Ky. (Sept. 22) — Jackie Boggs of Grayson, Ky., added yet another victory to his impressive 2013 campaign with a $5,000 triumph in Sunday’s unsanctioned Roger Breeding Memorial at 201 Speedway.

After starting from the pole, Boggs lost an early back-and-forth battle with R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, but recovered to retake the top spot as he and Conley raced through lapped traffic near the race’s halfway mark. | Slideshow

Boggs pulled away after taking the lead, but Josh McGuire, also of Grayson, later moved to second and reeled Boggs in late in race. McGuire’s best opportunity to overtake Boggs came on a restart with six laps remaining, but Boggs turned back the challenge.

Boggs, who was fresh off a $10,000 victory at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex on Sept. 14, claimed his seventh victory of the season that paid at least $3,000 to the winner. He also now has four wins of at least $5,000 since August 11.

McGuire, who was looking for his first victory since Aug. 2, settled for second at finish, while Conley slid back to third. Dustin Linville of Bryantsville, Ky., and Walker Arthur of Forest, Va., rounded out the race’s top five finishers.

Notes: Boggs drives a Swartz Race Car with sponsorship from The Weld Shop and Trick Shot Penetrating Lubricants. ... The event was originally set for Saturday, but Mother Nature moved it back one day. ... Boggs previously won at 201 on June 15 in Southern Regional Racing Series action.
