JIM FALLS, Wis. (June 27) — Jake Redetzke of Eau Claire, Wis., notched his first Blaine Brothers Challenge Series victory of the season and 10th of his career on the WISSOTA tour Thursday at Eagle Valley Speedway. Starting outside the front row, Redetzke led all the way for a $2,000 victory in the 40-lapper. | Slideshow

Fellow Eau Claire driver Chad Mahder rallied from his ninth starting spot to finish second, picking up three spots over the final 12 laps. A pair of Navarino, Wis., drivers — Nick Anvelink and A.J. Diemel — finished third and fourth. Polesitter Nick Beyenhof of Rock Rapids, Iowa, slipped to fifth at the finish.

Two cautions slowed the action. Adam Hensel stalled in turn four on the 17th lap while Scott Gilberts was running second when he tangled with a lapped car on lap 28 and slid into the turn-four wall.

Notes: Redetzke’s MB Customs car has a Wegner Automotive Research powerplant and sponsorship from Champ Pans, J&D Mfg., Curt Inc., Toys Scrap & Salvage and Rolly’s Coach Club. ... The series was in action for the first time since May 11. ... The series continues a three-race weekend Friday at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis., before heading to Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., on Saturday.
