The first-ever co-sanctioned race by the O’Reilly MARS DirtCar Series and Northern Allstars Late Model Series appears to be a rich one. According to the MARS schedule, the third annual Fall Harvest Shootout at Quad City Raceway in East Moline, Ill., will pay $12,000 to the winner of the Oct. 10-11 events.

More details will be announced later for the first event of the two regional tours that share ties to the World Racing Group-owned UMP DirtCar Series. MARS is also owned by the World Racing Group and the Northern Allstars run under UMP rules.

OTHER NORTHERN ALLSTARS SCHEDULE CHANGES: Besides the Quad City season-ender, the Northern Allstars have shifted several other dates from its schedule. The series added two events at Macon (Ill.) Speedway (June 1 and Aug. 16) along with September events at Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway (Sept. 12) and La Salle (Ill.) Speedway (Sept. 14). Dropped from the schedule were a pair of Quad City-La Salle weekends originally set for May 24-25 and Aug. 2-3. Northern Allstars events pay a minimum of $2,000 to the winner, but series co-director Bob Mooney said some races will pay more. — From staff reports

RUMBLE SERIES ADDS DATES: The first-year Rumble Dirt Series promoted by WISSOTA president Terry Voeltz has added two more $10,000-to-win events. Shawano (Wis.) Speedway will launch the series on May 16-17 while a June 13-14 event as been added at Hibbing (Minn.) Raceway. The Hibbing event gives the series three $10,000-to-win events from June 13-19 at Hibbing, North Central Speedway in Brianerd, Minn., and Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The series will soon launch a website at www.rumbledirtseries.com. — All the Dirt

DEERY POLESITTERS EARN CONTINGENCY: New IMCA sponsor Performance Engineering and Manufacturing will make every polesitter in the Deery Brothers Summer Series an award winner this season. The Union, Mo., company will give a set of quickchange gears to the driver taking the green flag from the inside row one spot at all 18 tour events. Drivers must display two Performance Engineering and Manufacturing decals to be eligible. — Bill Martin
