DONIPHAN, Neb. (July 18-19) — Kelly Boen of Henderson, Colo., swept the Pump N' Pantry Late Model Nationals weekend with a pair of O'Reilly National Championship Racing Association victories. Boen earned $1,500 in capturing Friday's opener, then followed that with a $3,000 victory on Saturday at Mid-Nebraska Speedway's biggest weekend of the year. | Friday slideshow | Saturday slideshow

In Saturday's late-ending finale, Andrew McKay of Edina, Minn., and Dave Eckrich of Cosgrove, Iowa, started on the front row with Eckrich inching ahead to lead the first two laps. But Boen grabbed the lead on the third lap to take command while former track champion Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., worked forward from his sixth position.

Berck cut Boen's half-straightaway lead to nearly nothing near the 50-lapper's midpoint, then slipped ahead to lead lap 23. A lap-24 caution put Boen on Berck's rear deck for the restart, and Boen took advantage to regain the lead on lap 25. A caution with nine laps remaining bunched the field, but Boen edged away in the final laps to win by 15 lengths. Berck was second followed by Eckrich, McKay and Chad Humston of Giltner, Neb.

Boen's first Pump N' Pantry Late Model Nationals victory came in 2002, a $6,000 triumph that was then the richest victory of his Late Model career.
