Steve Lance (25) inherited the QuickCar Series victory at Lincoln.
What won the race: Steve Lance Jr. inherited a $1,000 victory on the QuickCar Dirt Late Model Series when Matt Taylor of Springfield, Ill., was disqualified because his carburetor didn't pass postrace technical inspectlon. Aaron Heck of Mount Vernon, Ill., who crossed the line third, was disqualified for the same reason as Taylor.
Quotable: "It's good that (series promoter Tom Smith) stood up and stuck to his guns on this," Lance said. "He'll gain more drivers in the future because of this."
Key notes: Matt Taylor led all 25 laps before his disqualification. ... Lance dodged disqualification, but he had a purchase a new left-front tire before racing action because his original tire wasn't legal. ... Drivers failing to make the feature lineup: Jose Parga, Austin Simpson, Andy Minett, Trevor Nickel, Jim Weber and Josh Highley
On the move: Nick Bauman started 16th and was listed fifth in the final rundown.
Winner's sponsors: Lance's Rayburn Race Car is sponsored by Frederick Motorsports and Miller & Sons Farms.
