Cla Knight heads for his second holiday weekend win with Fastrak.
What won the race: Winning his second Fastrak Racing Series event during a holiday weekend, Cla Knight of North Augusta, S.C., captured a caution-free 40-lapper at Wythe Raceway for a $3,000 payday. Knight, who won two nights earlier at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., took the checkers at Wythe ahead of Brent Hilton and Matt Long.
Key notes: Knight also picked up the East Coast Rumble's Champions Belt as the weekend's top points earner. ... Wythe's feature lasted 12 minutes and 48 seconds. ... Henry Hornsby III's Tyler County Speedway on Saturday was sandwiched by Knight's Fastrak victories. ... That’s My Dress Bridal & Prom and Three Rivers Media sponsored Wythe's Engaged Couples Night. Engaged couples were eligible to win a wedding gown valued up to $1,000, a Tuxedo Rental valued up to $250, two tickets to Dollywood and a Weekend Getaway at The River Stone Resort and Spa in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Winner's sponsors: Knight's Longhorn Chassis has a Koury Racing Engine and is sponsored by Allstar Graphix, Maxxis Kart Racing, Town & Country Packing, Commercial Industrial Supply, Augusta Aquatics, Behrent's Performance Warehouse, Hoosier Tire South and Penske Racing Shocks.
Points chase: David Smith of Inman, S.C., led points entering the holiday weekend.
