What won the race: Third-starting Rick Hanestad of Boyceville, Wis., scored his first career WISSOTA Shaw Trucking Challenge Series victory, outrunning sixth-starting Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, Wis., at Amsoil Speedway in the opening race of the Twin Ports Twin 25s.
Key notes: Twenty-three of the 24 starters finished the 25-lap feature. ... Consolation winner Kyle Peterlin didn't start the main event. ... It was the second race of a weekend tripleheader for the WISSOTA Shaw Trucking Challenge Series. … The night featured a pair of 25-lap main events for Late Models paying $1,500-to-win each. … John Kaanta of Elk Mound, Wis., won the second feature, topping Jesse Glenz and Jimmy Mars; Hanestad finished 10th in the second feature. ...
