PPV set for Prairie Dirt Classic
DirtonDirt.com and DIRTVision.com are joining to provide live pay-per-view video of the July 27-28 Prairie Dirt Classic presented by Bank of Pontiac at Fairbury (Ill.) American Legion Speedway, giving every online fan the opportunity to witness a World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series event that has become one of the most anticipated of the season.
The announcement marks the first live pay-per-view of the PDC, which is topped by a 100-lap feature that has earned DirtonDirt.com Race of the Year honors in three of the past five years. Every lap of the weekend extravaganza will be covered by the DirtonDirt.com and DIRTVision.com cameras and DirtonDirt.com pit reporter Dustin Jarrett will provide additional color with driver interviews throughout the programs.
July 27's qualifying Night includes time trials and four 25-lap WoO qualifying features paying $2,500-to-win apiece. In addition, the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals will also be part of the card with a similar format of time trials and four 20-lap qualifying features offering $500 first-place prizes.
The PDC’s grand finale evening July 28 includes consolation races for the Dirt Late Models and UMP modifieds; the ninth annual Prairie Dirt Shootout non-qualifiers' race for Late Models; the 40-lap Summit Modified Nationals feature; and the WoO’s 29th annual Prairie Dirt Classic that boasts a $30,000 winner’s check from a purse of more than $93,000.
The PDC action will also shown later on CBS Sports Network, providing the first national television coverage of the event in its history.
