Whitener grabs Putnam County victory

SATSUMA, Fla. (March 30) — Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., won his second United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series event of the season Saturday in the tour’s first-ever event at Putnam County Speedway.
The two-time and reigning UDLMCS champion, who won the Feb. 23 series opener at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Fla., stretched his career series-leading total on the Florida-based series to 18. | Slideshow
Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, Fla., was second at Putnam County with Jason Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, Fla., in third. J.O. Nobles of Nahunta, Ga., and Joe Kump of Hollywood, Fla., rounded out the top five.
